Marcos hails PNP report on 27,000 drug-cleared barangays

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos on Monday  lauded the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) report that  P10.41 billion worth of illegal drugs have been seized by the government and that around 27,000 barangays have been cleared of drugs.

 “Magandang progreso ito sa grassroots level dahil ang mga barangay ay pag nasabi natin ay cleared ‘yan, madali nang i-monitor at maayos na ang patakbo doon,” said Marcos in a video statement.

(This is good progress on the grassroots level because if barangays are cleared, it is easier to monitor.) 

The President once again put an emphasis on rehabilitation and prevention.

“Kung sino man ang nasubo na ay bibigyan natin ng tulong sa pamamagitan ng mga rehabilitation center,”said Marcos.

(We will help them through rehabilitation centers.)
