Pulse Asia: Zubiri, Romualdez’s approval down, trust up

MANILA, Philippines — The approval ratings of Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and House Speaker Martin Romualdez slightly declined in the new Pulse Asia survey released on Monday.

Their trust rating, however, increased.

Zubiri’s approval rating dropped from 50 percent in September 2023 to 49 percent in December 2023.

The disapproval rating for the Senate leader increased to 12 percent from 8 percent.

On the other hand, the number of people ‘undecided’ on his performance is at 40 percent.

For his part, Romualdez’s approval rating also went down in December 2023, going from 41% in September 2023 to 39% after two months.

Meanwhile, the disapproval rating of the Speaker declined by 1 percent.

Respondents “undecided” on him increased from 44 percent to 48 percent.

Pulse Asia said the trust ratings for both leaders of Congress increased by two percent.

Zubiri saw a slight boost, increasing from 49 percent to 51 percent.

Romualdez had 38 percent, and his rating is currently at 40 percent.

The survey was conducted from December 3 to 7, 2023.

It had a sample size of 1,200 people with a ± 2.8% error margin and 95% confidence level.
