3 arrested, over P3.8 M shabu seized in Cavite drug stings

 Cavite drug suspects nabbed

LUCENA CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police  on Saturday seized more than P3.8 million worth of shabu and arrested three drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

In a report on Sunday, Jan. 7, the PDEA – Region 4A identified the two of the arrested suspects as Acmat and Javier, both surnamed Olama, who were both classified as “high-value” targets in the government campaign against illegal drugs.

The report said the suspects, whose relationship was not specified in the report, were arrested by PDEA agents and local police officers at 6:20 p.m. in a buy-bust operation at the open parking lot of a supermarket in Barangay (village) 4.

The suspects were caught in possession of 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P3,400,000

In another operation, the Dasmariñas City police nabbed Andy Berjes in Barangay Burol 3 at around 8:40 p.m., the Police Region 4A said in another report.

The suspect, also tagged as a “high-value” target, yielded seven plastic sachets of meth of weighing 65 grams and worth an estimated P442,000.

The suspects were detained and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
