Another 20 ambulance units in Regions 3 and 4A are also ready to be dispatched, according to PRC Secretary-General Gwen Pang.

“Every religious mass event in our country is important to us, and the safety of every Filipino who will attend these events is our top priority. The resumption of the traditional Traslacion this year will bring millions of Filipinos together,” PRC Chairman Richard “Dick” Gordon said in the same statement.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna said Thursday that at least 2 million people are expected to join the Feast of the Black Nazarene, or the Nazareno 2024 event on Monday, January 9, as the traditional Traslacion would be resumed after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
