A PROPOSED 25-kilometer overhead transmission line project that will cross Cebu City, Mactan and Mandaue City will be reviewed by the Provincial Board (PB) in next Monday’s session.
The PB is inviting engineer Carmelino De Leon, head of the Engineering Construction Department of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) to discuss the project.
The 138 KV transmission line will link power generated by the Cebu Energy Development Corp. (CEDC) and the Korean Power Corp.-Salcon Power Corp. (Kepco-SPC).
The line will provide power in three substations in Talamban, Mactan and Mandaue City.
The CEDC will be able to provide 246 megawatts that adds to the 200 megawatts from Kepco-SPC through its newly inaugurated coal plant in barangay Colon, Naga City. Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus with an Inquirer report
