Tech CEO Alvin Chu Teng visits and donates to children of Elsie Gaches orphanage

MANILA, Philippines — Alvin Chu Teng — more popularly known online as ACT — paid a visit to Elsie Gaches Village in Alabang last week to give cheers to children staying at this Department of Social Welfare and Development-funded orphanage for children with special needs. 

During the visit, the 36-year-old CEO of Cellboy Philippines was accompanied by his wife and daughter.

“When I was younger,” Teng said, “My father used to take me here all the time, under the premise that none of these children chose for this to happen to them, and that we must always be kind to them. This holiday season, in honor of my dad’s passing, I felt it was only right for me to come back with my family and my friends from the Rotary Club of Bagumbayan-Manila with the objective of lending a helping hand to those who need it most.”

Cellboy is part of a collective of gadget retail brands across the Philippines with over 200 branches nationwide, all owned by Teng. He directly employs 1,000 Filipinos.
