MANILA, Philippines — Some P7.5 billion has been earmarked for the upgrade of 22 airports and aviation facilities, including that on Pag-asa Island.
Makati City Rep. Luis Jose Angel Campos Jr., vice chairperson of the House of Representatives appropriations committee, said the 22 airports include the following:
- P1.64 billion for Ninoy Aquino International Airport
- P1.5 billion for Pag-asa Island Airport
- P581 million for Kalibo International Airport
- P500 million for Laoag International Airport
- P320 million for Bukidnon Airport
- P300 million for Puerto Princesa Airport
- P300 million for New Zamboanga International Airport
