LUCENA CITY – Four armed robbers broke into a branch of a courier service provider in Calauag town in Quezon province and stole P800,000 on Tuesday night, police said.

The Quezon police said in a report on Wednesday, Jan. 3, that the still-unidentified men wearing face masks and all armed with handguns entered the company branch at the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Sta. Maria around 8 p.m.

They poked a gun at a lone security guard, who was about to eat dinner, and grabbed his service handgun.

They herded the five employees, tied them up, and stole cash amounting to P800,000 from the establishment and three mobile phones belonging to the victims.

The robbers escaped aboard a getaway car.

The police were trying to identify the perpetrators through the security camera in the area.
