DSWD resumes issuance of guarantee letters under AICS
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Tuesday said that it will resume the issuance of guarantee letters (GLs) under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).
According to the DSWD, a GL is provided to a person in crisis situation to ensure that a service provider, such as a hospital, will be paid by the DSWD for services incurred by the beneficiary.
The amount provided via GLs for individuals can vary from P10,000 to P150,000.
“Pinaaalam ng DSWD ang muling pagbibigay ng mga GL sa ilalim ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) simula ngayong araw ng Martes, Enero 2, 2024,” the agency said in a post on X.
