One game for all the marbles.

This is what Talk ’N Text head coach Chot Reyes had to say after the defending champions Tropang Texters rallied past the B-Meg Llamados, 92-82, in last night’s Game Six of the 37th PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best-of-Seven Finals at the Araneta Coliseum.

Displaying the heart of a champion, the Texters did not wilt under tremendous pressure, overcoming early double-digit leads to send the series to a deciding Game Seven set this Sunday.

Talk ’N Text trailed by as many as 15 points in the first quarter but didn’t panic and even turned a 27-19 deficit at the end of the first quarter into a 50-48 lead at the half.

The Texters never trailed after that and went on to post their own double-digit lead that the Llamados failed to overcome.

Jayson Castro erupted for 25 points to lead the Texters, while Ranidel de Ocampo contributed 15 markers, a huge leap from his 4.5 points average in the series.

The Texters turned to their dreaded outside shooting to salvage the all-important game as they canned a total of 14 trifectas with Castro making two in the payoff period. De Ocampo finished with four triples after struggling with his three-point shooting in the previous games.

Import Denzel Bowles led the way for the Llamados with 33 points, while James Yap tallied 27 points.

It was all Yap and Bowles for B-Meg as the rest of the Llamados could only contribute 22 points.
