PCG bans vessels from sailing in Eastern Samar and Southern Leyte amid TD Kabayan

MANILA, Philippines — Tens of thousands of passengers continued to travel even during Christmas Day, the Philippine Coast Guard said on Monday.

PCG said that as of 12:00 p.m., 33,104 outbound passengers and 25,202 inbound passengers traveled through all ports nationwide.

Moreover, PCG personnel also inspected 250 vessels and 729 motor bancas in all ports nationwide.

The PCG is under the heightened alert from Dec. 15 to Jan. 3, 2024.
