MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday invited the public to come to Malacañang for a Christmas festivity, complete with the Simbang Gabi (Night Mass) tradition.

“Merry Christmas po sa inyong lahat. Muli ngayong Pasko ay binuksan natin ulit ang Palasyo para sa inyong lahat,” said Marcos through his Facebook page.

“Open house po kami ngayon. Habang may Simbang Gabi open house po ang Palasyo,” he added.

(We are open house today. During the Simbang Gabi, the Palace is open house.)

Marcos encouraged the public, particularly children, to pay the Palace a visit within the duration of the night mass from Dec. 15 to 24 to allow them to have fun while waiting for the mass to start.

“Puntahan po niyo kami, bisita kayo, kumpleto ang mga pagkain natin ng bibingka at saka siyempre ‘yung specialty ko, puto bumbong,” said Marcos.

(Visit us, be our guest, we have a complete spread of food, including bibingka and, of course, my specialty, puto bumbong.)

“Lahat ng mga anak ninyo, mga bata, para magsaya naman sila habang nag-aantay ng Simbang gabi. So sana magkita tayo dito sa Palasyo para meron tayong Pasko sa Palasyo,” he added.

(All of your children, the young ones, are invited to enjoy themselves while waiting for Simbang Gabi. So I hope we can meet here at the Palace to have Christmas in the Palace together.)
