MMDA: Pasig River Ferry Service closed on Christmas, New Year holidays
MANILA, Philippines —The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Wednesday that the Pasig River Ferry Service will be suspended during Christmas and New Year’s Day, including the remaining holidays this year.
According to the MMDA in an advisory, the ferry service will halt its operations on the following dates:
- December 25 (Christmas Day)
- December 26 (Special Non-Working Day)
- December 30 (Rizal Day)
- January 1, 2024 (New Year’s Day)
The Pasig River Ferry will then undergo maintenance during these days.
“Sa nasabing mga petsa ay isasailalim din sa maintenance activities ang mga ferry boat at magsasagawa ng clean-up sa lahat ng istasyon ng ferry,” the MMDA said.
(On these dates, the ferry boats will also undergo maintenance activities, and clean-up will be conducted at all ferry stations.)
Regular operations, on the other hand, will continue from December 27 to 29.
