LUCENA CITY — A tricycle driver died and two motorcyclists were injured on Tuesday, Dec. 19, when their vehicles collided in Gumaca town in Quezon province.

Quezon police reported on Wednesday, Dec. 20, that tricycle driver Dennis Macalalad, 39, was negotiating an ascending curve of the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Binambang around 10 a.m. when he and another motorcycle driven by Orly Sepagan, 56, were bumped by an oncoming motorcycle driven by alias “Felix,” who occupied the opposite lane.

The three drivers suffered injuries and were taken to Gumaca District Hospital but Macalalad died while undergoing treatment. “Felix” and Sepagan were still confined at the hospital.

The police were still conducting investigation.
