The House of Representatives has passed, several months ahead of schedule, all the Marcos administration’s priority measures, including those mentioned by the President in his 2nd State of the Nation Address (Sona).
Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez also vowed that when the session resumes in January, the House will focus on studying proposals that “deal with restrictions blocking the entry of foreign capital and investments in the Philippines,” particularly Charter change (Cha-cha).
Addressing the chamber on Wednesday night, the last plenary session for the year, Romualdez said the House has passed all 20 measures prioritized by the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) as of September, or “three months ahead of schedule.”

Out of the 20 Ledac and Sona priority measures, four have been enacted, particularly the National Employment Master Plan or Trabaho Para sa Bayan Act; the Automatic Income Classification of Local Government Units Act; the Internet Transactions Act; and the Public-Private Partnership Code of the Philippines. —JEANNETTE I.
