Pasig market will be open 24 hours for entire Christmas season

MANILA, Philippines — The Mutya ng Pasig Mega Market in Pasig City will be open for 24 hours until December 31, 2023, the Pasig City local government unit said on Tuesday.

According to the LGU, this is to give way for buyers to have more time buying items for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

“Ngayong buwan ng Disyembre, magiging 24 oras ang operations ng Mutya ng Pasig Mega Market para bigyan ng pagkakataon at mas mahabang panahon ang mga mamimili — mapa-prutas, gulay, manok, isda, baboy, bigas, grocery items na panghanda sa Noche Buena at Media Noche; at mga damit, laruan, tela at iba pa na pangregalo para sa Pasko,” it said in its Facebook page.

However, whether sellers will be open for 24 hours will be up to their own discretions.

“Bagamat 24 oras bukas ang palengke, nakadepende sa mga manininda kung nais nilang magtinda sa buong 24 oras,” the Pasig LGU added.

(While the market will be open for 24 hours, it depends on the sellers whether they will be open for 24 hours.)

The main entrance and selected secondary gates will also be open after midnight.
