MANILA, Philippines — Social media personality and a known supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration, Jessica Ann “Jam” Magno, has surrendered herself to authorities in Butuan City, a police official revealed on Wednesday.

Captain Charles Evan Gatchalian, chief of Butuan City Police Station 4, said Magno turned herself in on Tuesday morning after an arrest warrant for psychological violence was issued by Presiding Judge Ali Joseph Ryan Chiong Lloren of Misamis Oriental Regional Trial Court, Branch 37.

“Hindi siya inaresto, nag-voluntary surrender siya. Nagpunta siya dito kasama yung kanyang relative at abogado, may dala na sila yung warrant nila. Tinignan natin sa database wala pa, pero since may dala naman siya prinocess namin dito dahil dito siya nakatira sa area of responsibility natin,” Gatchalian told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.

The police official said they have no details as to what led to the case filing but revealed that the 35-year-old social media personality posted P72,000 bail at around 3:30 p.m. on the same day.

A judge in Butuan City issued the bail order, he added.

Meanwhile, Magno corrected reports that she was arrested, stating that she turned herself in because she was “not guilty.”

“Have you ever seen a mugshot that’s much prettier than mine? […] Funny that people said I was arrested. Correction. I surrendered and posted my 72,000 peso bail and did NOT ask for a discount, and I was escorted by an entire TEAM of Butuan’s BEST,” Magno wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday evening.

“Thank you to the Butuan City Police Station 4 for the wonderful experience today. I actually loved it! Hahahahaha! And to Barangay Ampayon’s New Barangay Captain Kim Acalayen for the fast process of my bail Requirements,” she added.
