MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has instructed the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to expedite the land distributions to eligible farmers, as he likewise ordered other agencies to help beneficiaries manage their assets.
Citing Marcos, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the land title distribution is also a “Christmas gift” to farmers in Western Visayas and other areas.
“I ask the DAR to complete the distribution of lands to their deserving owners while collaborating with all government agencies to support our beneficiaries in anything that they might need,” Marcos said in a statement on Monday.

“So, to those who will be receiving their titles today— who have received their titles today, I urge you na pagbutihan ninyo at pagsamantalahan ninyo ng mabuti itong magandang pagkakataon na naibigay namin sa inyo dahil nga sa pagbigay ng titulo,” he advised.

PCO said over 2,000 beneficiaries have so far received over 2,900 hectares of land in the same region.
Moreover, the current administration also led the distribution of about P26.7 million worth of farm machinery and equipment, excluding over P10 million worth of tractors, mobile rice mills, corn sheller, and palay reaper and thresher, which were given to farmer-beneficiaries in Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo.
