DOLE on 90th anniversary: A better future for Filipino work force

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), on its 90th founding anniversary on Friday said it must use its 90-year experience to deliver a better future for Filipino workers and their families.

“Our mandate remains the same, but we must now use our institutional experience and wisdom of the first 90 years in embracing the challenges and opportunities that transformation brings to help bring about a better future for all working Filipinos and their families,” Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said.

Laguesma also said that DOLE will continue to promote labor rights and the advancement of decent and productive work for Filipinos.
