MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. ordered new assignments for three ranking officials.

Based on Acorda’s December 6 directive, the three police officials will assume new posts starting December 11. A copy of the order was released to members of the media on Thursday.

Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS) director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon will soon serve as acting director of Police Regional Office 5-Bicol, which is currently held by Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, according to the memo.

In turn, Obinque will become acting director for Research and Development, the PNP chief’s order said.

Col. Leon Victor Rosete of the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group will replace Dizon as acting director of PRBS, the memo added.

INQUIRER.net sought PNP’s explanation for the reshuffle, but it has not responded as of posting time.
