Marcos coping well despite COVID-19 isolation, says PCO
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is doing well while undergoing his COVID-19 isolation, according to Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil on Wednesday.
The Palace announced Marcos’ diagnosis on Tuesday, saying that he would continue to work remotely.
“He is doing well. He has a scheduled teleconference this afternoon,” Garafil told reporters in a Viber message.
Marcos canceled several appearances due to COVID-19, including the National Decongestion Summit in Manila this Wednesday. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin delivered his speech for him instead.
This marks the third time that Marcos tested positive for COVID-19.
