The culmination of a dream. That is how Ephraim Porciuncula Bie described the feeling of passing the 2023 Bar examinations when results were announced on Tuesday.

But little did he know that he would be named the topnotcher of this year’s examinations, scoring 89.2625 percent among 3,812 passers out of 10,387 examinees.

2023 Bar exam produces 3,812 new lawyers in PH

A total of 3,812, or 36.77 percent, of the 10,387 examinees passed the 2023 Bar examination, the Supreme Court (SC) announced Tuesday.

The third digitalized examination was conducted on September 17, 20, and 24, 2022. The 2023 Bar test returned to the September schedule after 13 years.

2023 Bar exam to proceed despite smog concerns

The Supreme Court will release today the results and list of successful examinees of the 2023 Bar examinations.

Simultaneous with the release of the results, the list of new lawyers will be displayed on LED walls at the courtyard of the SC Main Building in Manila for viewing from 12 noon to 6 p.m., the high court said.

Under prevailing meteorological conditions, the 2023 Bar Examinations “shall still definitely proceed as originally planned,” read the notice issued Friday from Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando, chairman of the 2023 Bar examinations.

The last day of the Bar exam is set for September 24, Sunday, in 14 local testing centers (LTCs). However, the metro has recently been enveloped with smog, posing health risks.

From 10,400, a total of 10,391 candidates have completed day two of the Bar examinations, the Supreme Court said Friday.

The 10,400 is the number of candidates who completed day one of the examination last Sunday, September 17, out of 10,791 candidates approved to take the Bar.

As many as 10,816 examinees are about to take the 2023 Bar examinations, the  Supreme Court (SC) announced on Friday.

Among these examinees, SC reported that 5,832 are first-time Bar takers, while 4,984 are retakers.
