Aurora suspends classes, gov't work due to heavy rains

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The provincial government of Aurora suspended classes at all levels and work in government due to continuous heavy rains on Monday, Dec. 4.

The Aurora provincial disaster risk reduction and management council headed by Governor Christian Noveras issued a memoranding suspending classes and work in private and public schools to “ensure the public welfare and safety of the people.”

“Under these conditions, scattered [and] widespread flooding and rain-induced landslides are expected, especially in areas that are highly or very susceptible to these hazards,” it added.
