MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) granted clearance to the Makati Social Welfare Department for its 2023 Children and Youth Profiling.
The PSA said Thursday the profiling aims to provide a city-wide dataset for future city planning and policy-making initiatives.
“This effort aims to strengthen the Makati Social Welfare Development’s ability to create tailored interventions, allocate resources efficiently, and implement policies that adapt to changing community needs,” the PSA said.
Data collected will include the percentage of adolescent pregnancies provided prenatal and postnatal care, the percentage of out-of-school youth, and the total population of children and youth in the city.

“The 2023 CYP will also evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the different social welfare services already in place,” it added.
The profiling will occur in December, with results expected in January 2024.
