5 hurt in three-vehicle collision in Quezon
LUCENA CITY — Five people were injured Wednesday, November 29, in a three-vehicle collision along the Maharlika Highway in Atimonan town in Quezon province.
Quezon police reported that a dump truck driven by alias “Loreto” accidentally bumped the rear portion of a jeepney running ahead along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay (village) Balubad at around 12:30 p.m.
With the impact, jeepney driver “Ramelito” lost control of his vehicle, occupied the opposite lane, and consequently collided with an oncoming Toyota Avanza driven by “Eugene,” 32.
“Ramelito” and his passenger, “Devino,” 59; “Eugene” and his two passengers, “Romeo,” 65, and “Zach,” a minor, all sustained injuries and were taken to Doña Marta Memorial District Hospital in the town center for treatment.
The police are conducting further investigation.
