MANILA, Philippines — The National Privacy Commission (NPC) said on Wednesday that it will launch a caravan next year that will teach children in various schools nationwide on data privacy and online safety.
“Everyday, more Filipino children are accessing the internet, exposing themselves to potential dangers online. It is our collective duty to ensure that our children are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the online world safely,” NPC Public Information and Assistance Division Chief Roren Chin said.
She also said that a Kabataang Digital (KD) Regional Caravan is slated for November 2024, along with the Young Privacy Advocates Summit, which is expected to gather more than 1,000 youth participants nationwide.
