Magnitude 4.4 earthquake jolts Negros Oriental

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake shook Negros Oriental early Wednesday morning, the state seismology bureau said. 

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake shook Negros Oriental early Wednesday morning, the state seismology bureau said.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the tectonic quake was located west of Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental, and had a depth of focus of 35 kilometers.
