MANILA, Philippines — A 53-year-old man with multiple arrest warrants for robbery, reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, fraud, and physical injuries was apprehended by authorities in Taguig, according to police.

In a report on Tuesday, the Southern Police District (SPD) identified the 53-year-old suspect under his alias “Jerry.”

SPD said its operatives collared him along M.L. Quezon Street, Barangay Hagonoy, last November 26 on the strength of the arrest warrants issued by Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 163 on October 2, 2023.

The warrants of arrest served against him came after he violated Article 294(5) of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) (robbery/ extortion); Section 4 of Republic Act (RA) 4222 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (computer-related identity theft); Section 5 of RA or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009; and Article 356 and 356 of RPC (reckless imprudence Resulting to homicide and multiple physical injuries).

Jerry is currently detained at the custodial facility of Taguig City Police Station, pending a commit order from the court that issued his arrest warrants.
