Boy drowns in river

Going for a dip in a river in Tondo, Manila, turned out to be fatal for a 13-year-old boy whose body was found Wednesday morning, hours after he disappeared. Justine Adriano, a resident of Nanahaw Street in Balut, Tondo, was discovered floating in the Bukid River near a pumping station. Senior Police Officer 2 Bernard Cayabyab of the Manila Police District homicide section said the boy was last seen alive at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday after he and his family went for a swim. Adriano, however, ended up being swept away by the strong current. Jaymee T. Gamil
