Bongbong Marcos flies to GenSan to hold briefing after Sarangani quake

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday went to General Santos City for a situation briefing on the earthquake that struck Sarangani.

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit Sarangani on November 17. Government officials have reported at least nine people dead due to the quake.

Marcos posted a story on Facebook with the caption, “Situation briefing in General Santos City.”

In a separate Facebook story, Marcos is seen handing out government assistance to those affected by the earthquake.

Marcos previously ordered all government agencies to respond appropriately following the Sarangani quake, urging caution amid the possibility of aftershocks.
