BALANGA CITY, Bataan — A 20-year-old student of Bataan Peninsula State University died on the spot early Monday, Nov. 20, when a concrete slab collapsed and hit him after a minibus rammed through the waiting area of the public transport terminal.

Reports from the city disaster risk reduction and management office said Viel Titulo was sitting in the passenger area when he was hit by a precast concrete slab that served as the wall of the terminal.

Due to the impact, Titulo suffered fatal injuries.

The driver was positioning the bus for a long line of passengers when he accidentally stepped on the gas accelerator instead of the brake.

Investigators said the driver of the minibus was held immediately after the accident. INQ
