MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday issued a show cause order against bus operator Victory Liner Inc. after a deadly shooting incident took place in one of its buses in Nueva Ecija.
According to the LTFRB, the bus operator was summoned to explain why its certificate of public convenience should not be revoked or canceled for its alleged “failure to provide safe, adequate, comfortable and dependable land public transportation.”
The agency directed the operator to appear before the board on November 21.
“Failure on the part of the respondent to Answer within the prescribed period and to attend the hearing of this case on the date aforementioned shall be considered as a waiver on her part to be heard and this case shall be submitted on the basis of the records of this Board,” the LTFRB said in its order.

This came after a female victim and her live-in partner were shot dead by unidentified gunmen while in transit in the town of Carranglan on Wednesday afternoon.
The gunmen shot the victims four times in the head and neck before getting off near a river in Barangay Minuli.
