Police investigators were inclined to believe that the killing of the two passengers, a woman and her partner, inside a bus in Nueva Ecija on Wednesday were due to personal grudge. Philippine National Police Public Information Office chief Col. Jean Fajardo said investigators are looking at the son of the slain woman as a “person of interest” in the case. “The son had a possible motive in the killing of his mother. Because before this incident, they had a conflict, after he took away his mother’s car and is facing a carnapping case … In fact, he is only out on bail,” she added. The victims boarded a Victory Liner bus in Cauayan City en route to Tarlac on Wednesday morning when they were shot by two still unidentified men. The one-minute video went viral on social media. —DEXTER CABALZA
