11:12 AM May 02, 2012

THREE-time Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. women’s volleyball champions Southwestern University (SWU) Lady Cobras got a rude welcome from the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws as they got creamed in their debut, 9-25, 8-25, 15-25, in the 9th Shakey’s V-League yesterday at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Lady Tams simply overwhelmed the Lady Cobras all game long as typified by the 44 hits that were totalled by Thai guest player Eve Sanorseang, Rosemarie Vargas, Wenneth Eulalio and Marie Basas in the brief 64-minute game.

FEU managed to climb back into the thick of things after they fell to reigning champions Ateneo in their opening match.
