Calabarzon police seize more than P247,000 worth of "shabu" and marijuana

LUCENA CITY — Police on Tuesday arrested five suspected drug pushers and seized more than P335,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and two illegal firearms in buy-bust operations in Cavite, Laguna and Batangas provinces.

The Region 4A police reported that anti-narcotics operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite held alias “Cyrus” around 7:30 p.m. after he sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Salawag.

The suspect, tagged as a high-value target in the government’s drug war, yielded four sachets of meth weighing 20 grams worth about P138,000.

The same team of police officers also nabbed “Louie” in another sting operation at 7:05 p.m. in Barangay Fatima 2.

The suspect was found with three sachets of shabu worth P32,982.

In Silang town, law enforcers arrested “Rodel” during a drug-bust operation around 11:20 p.m.

The report showed that aside from P31,050 worth of shabu, the operatives also found him carrying an undocumented caliber .38 revolver loaded with two bullets.

Meanwhile, policemen in San Pedro City, Laguna held alias “Emerald” inside a subdivision in Barangay Chrysanthemum at 7:21 p.m.

The suspect was caught in possession of five sachets of meth worth P106,260.

Policemen in Padre Garcia, Batangas arrested on Tuesday another gun-carrying drug pusher in Barangay Cawongan.

Drug suspect “Alvin” was carrying a caliber .38 revolver with five bullets and P27,324 worth of shabu when arrested.

All arrested suspects were detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Alvin and Rodel will be slapped with another case of illegal possession of a firearm and violation of the Omnibus Election Code.
