DOH says Herbosa’s ‘endorsement’ of osteoarthritis cure is fake
MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday issued a warning against a fake post that uses the name of DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa to endorse a supposed treatment for osteoarthritis.
According to the DOH, this endorsement is entirely false, and the health department and its secretary have not supported such a product.
In light of this issue, the DOH said that it will work with the Food and Drug Administration and other relevant government bodies to investigate such deceptive advertisements and take legal action against those responsible for them.
The DOH likewise advised the public to only seek information from credible sources and official DOH social media channels.
