MANILA, Philippines — Angkas, the pioneering motorcycle ride-hailing service in the country, recently introduced “Angkas Weekend Market” as part of the company’s sustained efforts to empower and support its riders.
Angkas Weekend Market is a new initiative in partnership with SariSuki that aims to offer its riders potential additional incomes for enhance livelihood. It is also seen to economic advancement through a strong sense of community.
According to Angkas, the weekend market is just one of the many innovative solutions that the company is preparing for its riders amid its ongoing mission to shape a better society and make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals.

The weekend market offers a wide range of products from partner riders and their families. Under the program, Angkas gives free use of stalls by riders and their families to sell their products.
“With the holiday season fast approaching, we encourage the community to support our riders and their families by exploring their unique offerings at this weekend market. By making a purchase, you’re not only acquiring unique items and tasting delicious food but also contributing to the local economy, supporting these small-scale entrepreneurs,” stressed Angkas CEO George Royeca.

The Angkas Weekend Market will during select weekends from November 19 to December 31, 2023, at the Angkas Cainta Office.
Recognizing rider excellence via ‘Drive to Win’
Angkas likewise announced its recent “Drive to Win” awarding ceremony where the company feted the steadfast commitment of its riders.
Under Drive to Win, Angkas gives away P200,000 worth of prizes every two weeks to riders who met and even exceeded their daily ride challenges. The prizes include grocery vouchers, household appliances, gadgets, gift certificates, and gas vouchers – which were distributed through a raffle draw over the Angkas Barkada MNL Facebook page during the ANGKAmuStahan FB Live Sessions.
