MANILA, Philippines — Vice President and Education chief Sara Duterte physically attended the Senate plenary deliberations on Thursday to discuss the proposed allocation for her offices next year.
On the second day of the upper chamber’s debates, senators are set to scrutinize the budget of the following agencies:
- Office of the President
- Office of the Vice President
- Department of Education
- Department of Interior and Local Government
- Department of Foreign Affairs
- Department of Trade and Industry
On Wednesday, November 8, the Senate began its marathon plenary deliberations to discuss the 2024 national budget bill, which includes the proposed P5.768 trillion allocation for next year.
The plenary discussions in the upper chamber are expected to continue until November 20, 2023.
