MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said that it recently launched and officially implemented three core projects – the Philippine Rural Development Project Scale-Up, Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project, and the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency Project.
The three projects were launched last Monday, November 6, the DA said.
“The three projects will focus on organizing and clustering farmer and fisherfolk associations and indigenous peoples organizations engaged in agri-fishery activities, consolidating their produce to attain economies of scale, reinvigorating collaboration with the private sector for better market linkage and technology access, and sustaining partnership with the local government units for a more aligned national and local priorities in agriculture development,” the DA said in a statement.
The financing for the projects, according to the DA, was made possible through its partnership with the World Bank.
