(It is easy to explain to them that there is a ready market, the LGU, there is a ready market for these products. LGUs, that is why we need to keep developing, not just the technology, but lowering the product prices and making more available to all LGUs so it can be used to help people in need.)

Marcos lauded innovations such as mobile command posts, triage trailer tents, collapsible toilets, upgraded emergency systems, and more.

According to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), there were 60 new technologies on display at the fair.

“The government remains committed to advancing the country’s disaster resilience, and of course, we must recognize the role of the Department of Science and Technology in this undertaking. The DOST has been instrumental in developing cutting-edge technology for disaster risk reduction, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery,” said Marcos.
