Bongbong Marcos says 40 Filipinos managed to exit Gaza
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday said that 40 Filipinos have been able to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing into Egypt.
“Ikinagagalak kong ibalita na 40 sa ating mga kababayan ay ligtas at matagumpay na nakatawid ng Rafah crossing sa Egypt. Sila ngayon ay patungo sa Cairo, kung saan sila magmumula para makauwi nang tuluyan sa ating bansa sa susunod na mga araw,” Marcos said in a video message.
PH jobless rate slightly up to 4.5% in Sept
The unemployment rate in the country inched up to 4.5 percent in September from 4.4 percent in August, the Philippine Statistics Authority reported Wednesday.
A nationwide survey of 11,156 households showed there were 2.26 million people who were either jobless or out of business in September, a tad higher than 2.21 million recorded in August, the PSA said.

Arroyo asserted that she did not sign House Resolution No. 1414 – which eventually caused her removal from the post – because it “does not contain anything new” as she has “always supported” Romualdez as the top leader of the House of Representatives.
