PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Palawan (PDEA-Palawan) recovered on Sunday a plastic bag containing 144.1016 grams of cocaine worth around P800,000 in Narra town in Palawan province, a belated report said on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The PDEA-Palawan said in the report that a resident found the substance stored inside a knot-tied plastic bag with fabric container at the shoreline of Barangay Calategas.
The resident, who was not identified in the report, immediately told the PDEA-Palawan of his discovery.
PDEA-Palawan brought the item to the Palawan police crime laboratory in this city to subject it to chemical examination on Monday, Nov. 6. It was confirmed as cocaine.
Authorities are still conducting investigation to find out the origin and destination of the illegal substance.
