LUCENA CITY — A 56-year-old farmer was killed Monday after he was allegedly attacked by a carabao in Lucban town in Quezon province.

The Quezon police said in a report on Tuesday, Nov. 7, that Simplicio Delas Alas was found dead around 9 p.m. by his elder brother Severielo in Barangay Tinamnan. The police said Severielo searched for his brother on his farm after he failed to return home after sunset.

The body of the victim was found beside his carabao. The report said the horns of the carabao had blood stains.

The Delas Alas family believed that Simplicio was gored to death by the carabao,  which was also confirmed by the local government doctor.
