DOH: COVID-19 weekly cases down to 895
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday said the weekly recorded COVID-19 cases dropped to 895 from October 30 to November 5 from 1,088 infections logged from October 22 to October 29.
Based on the DOH’s latest weekly tally, an average of 128 cases were recorded per day, 18 percent lower than the 155 average daily cases the previous week.
Ten new infections were tagged as critical or severe, bringing such admissions to 276.
On the other hand, no additional deaths due to COVID-19 were recorded by the DOH.
Meanwhile, despite the drop in infections, utilization of ICU beds jumped from 10.9 to 12.3 percent, while the non-ICU bed utilization rate rose from 15.9 to 17.7 percent.
