To recall, 253 candidates’ proclamations were suspended by the Comelec before the casting of votes itself due to petitions against their candidacies in the BSKE.

“Ang problema na lang namin is doon sa 101 so far, habang kinakalap namin ‘yung datos sa buong Pilipinas,” said Garcia in a press conference.

(The only problem we have is with the 101 so far while we gather data all over the Philippines.)

To recall, on Oct. 24, the Comelec approved a resolution allowing the suspension of the proclamation of 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) winners with the following pending petitions:

  • To deny due course or to cancel Certificate of Candidacy
  • To declare a nuisance candidate
  • For disqualification until further orders from the Commission
