MANILA, Philippines — The shear line and localized thunderstorms will bring isolated to scattered rain showers in the country on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
According to the weather bureau, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, Apayao, Batanes, and Isabela because of the shear line, or the convergence of cool and warm winds.
The rest of the country, on the other hand, may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.

“Humina ang amihan o northeast monsoon at hindi na ito nakaaapekto sa bansa,” weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported in their morning weather forecast.
(The northeast monsoon weakend and it no longer affects the country.)
“Wala po tayong binabantayan na panibagong low pressure area o bagyo sa Dagat Pasipiko, lalo na po sa loob ng Philippine area of responsibility,” he added.
(We are not monitoring any new low-pressure area, nor a tropical depression in the Pacific Ocean, especially inside the Philippine area of responsibility.)
No gale warning was raised over the country’s seaboards, but Pagasa still advised sailors to take precautions as thunderstorms may occur.
