THE REIGNING champions Prime Asia-University of the Visayas Green Lancers and the Lion Tiger Aerosol-University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars dispute the solo leadership as they collide today in the 6th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.
The two teams opened their respective campaigns with contrasting victories during the opening playdate last Sunday.

The Jaguars defeated  back-to-back Cesafi champions Gaisano Tisa-University of Cebu, 80-62, while the Lancers had to tough it out against the San Marino Corned Tuna-University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers before prevailing, 77-75.

In the first game, the Panthers aim to bounce back as they take on the Kia Motors-Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats.

Jayson Olbedado and veteran forward Abulaiz Suliman had a field day against the Webmasters as they tallied 21 and 20 markers, respectively.

Both will be marked men today as they take on the loaded roster of UV bannered by old reliables John Abad, Andrew Avillanoza, Phil Mercader and the returning Eman Calo.

The Panthers, meanwhile, will lean on their core composed of siblings Jam and James Ferraren, Joseph Sedurifa and Fritz Dajalos. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
