AFP: 3,838 visitors at Libingan ng mga Bayani by 8 a.m.

AFP: 3,838 people visited Libingan ng mga Bayani as of 8 a.m.

As early as 6 a.m., cemetery visitors have already started coming at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 3,838 cemetery-goers have so far visited the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City  this All Saints’ Day, according to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The data is based on the AFP’s records from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m on Wednesday.

AFP, which oversees the property, added that 1,171 vehicles were also recorded in the cemetery.

Personnel from the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection are also present and patrolling the vicinity.

However, the exact number of staff deployment is yet to be reported as of writing.

According to the AFP’s data, 14,681 visitors and 3,897 vehicles were recorded from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Libingan ng mga Bayani opened at 6 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.

As of October 28, 2023, the AFP reported a total of 53,458 interments in the cemetery.

For this year alone, 402 new interments were recorded, including personnel from the army, air force, and navy, as well as veterans, national artists, and scientists.
