MANILA, Philippines — The automated election system being pilot tested in a precinct in Dasmariñas City has no issues, the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) said on Monday.

“In Dasmariñas Elementary School in Cavite where the automated election system is being pilot-tested for the BSKE [Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections], Namfrel observers reported that there has been no issues so far, besides some confusion among the members of the EB as to the start of voting, but voting still started on time,” the Namfrel said in a statement.

Dasmariñas Elementary School is one of the two precincts in Dasmariñas City where automated elections were held.

Automated polls were also held in Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.

The rest of the villages in the Philippines would use manual voting.
