NLEx connector road now open
The entire stretch of the 8-kilometer North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) connector road is now open for the motorists in time for the heavy volume of vehicles this long weekend.
NLEx Corp. said the España-Magsaysay section of the toll road, which is seen to ease traffic congestion in major thoroughfares such as Edsa and C5, started welcoming vehicles on Oct. 28.
“This should help improve the travel experience of motorists as this new section will make travel from Metro Manila to the North and vice versa, faster and more convenient, especially this ‘Undas,’” said J. Luigi Bautista, president of NLEx Corp.
The toll road charges P86 per motorists. The Caloocan-España segment was inaugurated on March 27, allowing free road use.
Toll collection began on Aug. 8.
